Frequently asked questions

How do I download Twitter videos on iPhone?
Add our free Shortcut, then in the X app tap Share › Share via… › xMediaFetchBot. The video is saved to your Photos. Without the Shortcut, paste the link on this page in Safari and the file will be in Files › Downloads.
What quality can I download?
Whatever X stores for the post — usually 270p, 360p and 720p, and 1080p for videos uploaded in Full HD. We always list the highest quality first.
Can I download a GIF from X?
Yes. X converts GIFs to silent MP4 loops, and we give you that MP4. It plays everywhere and keeps the original smoothness.
Can I save photos from a tweet?
Yes — every photo in the post is listed under Images and downloads at its original resolution.
Why can't I download a video from a protected or sensitive post?
Protected accounts and some age-restricted posts are only visible to logged-in followers, so they can't be downloaded.
Does it work with t.co and fxtwitter links?
Yes. x.com, twitter.com, mobile.twitter.com, t.co short links and fxtwitter / vxtwitter / fixupx links all work.
